What's New

The latest changes to Final Table: what's new, and what we've fixed.

Week of 12 October

New

  • Notifications: The bell shows only what's waiting for you. Pressing a notification's button, or Dismiss, clears it; a to-do stays until it's done. Everyone
  • Mini-Leagues: A mini-league now counts the main league's tournaments between its start and end dates, for everyone or just the players you pick, and freezes when it ends. Everyone
  • Clubs: Group your leagues under one club, with its own team, player stats, logo on the Floor View and its own one-off events. Everyone
  • Player of the Year: A club can keep a Player of the Year table, adding points a night at a time or straight from a tournament's results. Everyone
  • Email Alerts: A plan that's ready, a league handed to you or a plan about to end now arrives by email as well as in the bell. Everyone
  • Contact Us: Send us a message from the header, the footer or your account menu, and we'll reply by email. Everyone
  • Sign-In Pages: The sign-in and register pages now link back to the rest of the site. Everyone
  • Full Tables: When every seat is taken, adding a player reopens the most recently closed table, just as a rebuy does. Directors
  • Points: Each tournament keeps the scoring it was played under, so changing your points later never rewrites past nights. A night can also count double. Directors
  • Joining Two Records: If one person ended up with two records in a tournament, join them from the Players page, even after the night. Directors
  • Swap Player After the Night: You can now put the right person on an entry after the tournament has finished. Directors
  • Club Templates: A club keeps the tournament templates its leagues and events use, and each league picks its default from them. Directors
  • Default Teams: Set a team once on a league or club and it's added to every new tournament, then removed when it ends. Directors

Fixed

  • Standings: A player who entered a tournament more than once was scored on their latest entry, even when an earlier one finished higher. Now the standings count their best finish. Everyone
  • Choosing a Seat: Assigning a seat by hand only offered empty seats, so you couldn't put someone straight into a taken one. Now any seat that isn't locked can be picked; the player in it moves to a free seat and you're told where. Directors
  • Merging Players: Merging two records could leave the merged record's points behind. Now every point moves across, including mini-leagues and Player of the Year. Directors
  • Floor View: Refreshing the Floor View, or it recovering on its own, dropped it out of full screen. Now it starts afresh in place and stays full screen. Directors

Week of 5 October

New

  • Floor View Socials: A club's or league's social links now take turns on the Floor View. Everyone
  • Templates: A league can keep several tournament templates, with one as the default, and pick any of them when creating a tournament. Directors
  • Scoring: A league's points now have their own Scoring page. Directors
  • Blind Levels: Editing a level shows the level before it, and a small blind bigger than the big blind is refused. Directors
  • Finished Tournaments: When a live tournament ends, its tables, seats and levels are cleared away, leaving the results. Directors
  • Swap Player: If the wrong person was bought in, swap in the right one without charging twice or losing the seat. Directors
  • Imports: Importing standings again replaces only that season, and an imported tournament keeps its date and final table. Directors
  • Set Time: The clock now shows a hint that you can change how long is left in the level. Directors

Fixed

  • Start Times on Phones: On a phone, only the small clock icon opened a tournament's time picker. Now tapping anywhere on the start time does. Directors
  • Player Search: Someone helping run your tournament couldn't find your players or the league's when adding a player. Now they can. Directors
  • Bounties on Rebuys: Whether a player who rebuys straight after being knocked out paid a new bounty depended on a setting that was easy to get wrong. Now they always pay one. Directors
  • Finishing Places: Players could see the controls for changing finishing places. Now only the people running a tournament see them. Players
  • League Tournaments: League members couldn't see their league's tournaments. Now they appear on the league and on their home page. Players
  • Full Tournaments: Trying to join a full tournament showed a message about the director's plan. Now it simply says the tournament is full. Players

Week of 28 September

New

  • Your Tournaments: Filter your tournaments by your part in them, and share a tournament's join link in one tap. Everyone
  • The Clock: Every phone, laptop and wall screen now shows exactly the same time. Everyone
  • Next Steps: After a knockout, rebuy or re-entry, the app suggests what to do next: balance the tables, break one, seat new players or declare the final table. Directors
  • Break Order: Set the order tables break in, when creating a tournament or at any point during it. Directors
  • Levels: Set the clock to any time, and change levels still to come while the tournament is running. Directors
  • Eliminate: Eliminating a player now walks you through it: out, rebuy or re-enter, and who knocked them out. Several players out in one hand is one step. Directors

Fixed

  • Saving: A change you saved only appeared once the live update arrived, so it could look as if it hadn't saved. Now it shows at once. Everyone
  • Shared Links: A shared tournament link could show the start time in the wrong time zone. Now it shows the game's own time and zone. Everyone
  • Number Boxes: Clearing a number box jumped it back to a minimum, so you couldn't type a new number. Now you can clear it and retype. Directors
  • Your Dashboard: Tournaments you help run didn't appear on your dashboard. Now they do. Directors
  • Removing a Table: Removing a table with nobody at it could move players at other tables. Now it moves nobody. Directors
