Questions, answered

What Final Table does today — not what it might do one day. If your question isn't here, it's probably worth adding.

Getting started

What is Final Table?
Software for running poker tournaments and leagues. It handles the blind clock, who is sitting where, rebuys and eliminations, the prize pool and payouts, bounties, and standings across a season. It is built for live games — home games, pub games and card rooms — with a big-screen Floor View for the room.
Do I need to pay?
No. The free plan runs 2 tournaments a week, up to 27 players each, and one league, and there is nothing to buy yet. Paid plans for bigger games, more leagues and club branding are coming later.
What do I need to run a game?
A phone, tablet or laptop for yourself, and a browser. Nothing to install. If you want the clock on a screen in the room, open the Floor View on anything with a web browser — a smart TV, a laptop plugged into a TV, or a spare tablet.
Do my players need accounts?
Only if they want to. You can add anyone by name at the door and run the whole game that way. Players who do sign up can join with a code, see the games they are registered for, and keep their own history across leagues.

Running a game

How do players join a tournament?
Every tournament has a six-character join code. Share it (or the link) and a signed-in player can register themselves. You can also add players yourself at the door, whether or not they have an account.
How do I share my tournament or league?
Tap the join code at the top of the tournament or league and the invitation link is copied. Paste it into your group chat: it shows the night, the venue, the buy-in and how many are in before anyone signs in, and it carries a picture so it looks like an invitation rather than a bare link. Reading the code out still works too.
How does seating work?
Choose random or sequential seating and Final Table seats each player as they buy in, then tells you the table and seat so you can send them there. You can also seat people yourself, lock a seat so rebalancing leaves it alone, and break tables down when numbers drop.
What about rebuys, late registration and re-entries?
All supported, each with its own switch, and they share one cut-off level so the door closes at a single, clear moment. A rebuy tops up the entry a player already has; a re-entry is a fresh entry at the full price after they bust. You can cap how many of each a player may take.
How do bounties work?
Bounties are per player, not per tournament — anyone can take one or not. Knock someone out and the bounty is credited to you automatically, tracked separately from the prize pool. Bounties are included on every plan, free ones too.
How are payouts worked out?
The prize pool adds up buy-ins, rebuys and add-ons as they happen. Set your places as percentages or fixed amounts and Final Table shows what each place gets, updating as more players arrive. You can override the pool if you take a fee out of it.
What is the Floor View?
A full-screen display for the room: the clock and blinds, players left, average stack, prize pool, and every table with who is sitting where. It updates itself as the game runs. You can also put a message of your own at the top — sponsors, the Wi-Fi password, next week's game — and rotate several.
Can someone help me run the tournament?
Yes. Add helpers to a tournament and choose what each may do — the clock, players, seating, payouts. They see only what they are allowed to change.

Leagues and seasons

What is a league?
A series of tournaments with standings kept across them. Set a points structure, run your games, and the table keeps itself. Leagues have seasons, so you can start afresh each year without losing the history.
What is a mini-league?
A smaller league that runs off a league's own players — a side competition within your regular game, with its own season and points. Mini-leagues come with the paid plans.
Can players join a league themselves?
Yes, with the league's join code. Members see the league's upcoming and past games and where they stand.

Plans and limits

What does the free plan include?
2 tournaments in any 7 days, up to 27 players in each, one league, and bounties. Payouts, seating, the clock and the Floor View are all included. Rebuys, late registration, re-entries and early-bird chips come with the paid plans.
What happens when I reach a limit?
Final Table tells you what the limit is and when it frees up — the weekly one is a rolling 7 days, so it says when your next tournament can open. Nothing you have already made is taken away or stopped.
When will there be paid plans?
Nothing is for sale yet — everyone is on the free plan while we get started. Paid plans for bigger rooms, more leagues and club branding are coming, and we will publish what they cost, and tell you in the app, before anything changes.
Can I play online?
Not yet. Final Table runs live games today. Online play is built and being tested, and will arrive as a separate option.

Your data

Who can see my games?
Only you, anyone you add as a helper, and the players in them. A tournament in a league is visible to that league's members. Games are never listed publicly and search engines are kept out of them.
Where is my data kept?
In a hosted database in Ireland. Player details you enter — names, and emails or phone numbers if you add them — belong to your games and are not shared with other organisers.
Who runs Final Table?
Cattoon Digital, a UK company. Final Table is its product.
